From the balcony of the Copper Top Bar at the base of Beaver Run at the Breckenridge ski area in Colorado, I sat in the sun and painted this view of the homeward bound ski trail (and the Beaver Run Superchair). It was incredible as the clouds lifted how I could see other peaks receding in the distance. The sun-facing pines contrasted with the ones in the shade, which still had snow clinging to their boughs. It occurred to me eventually that I need to get fingerless gloves!!
