From the balcony of our hotel room at the base of "Cabin Fever" trail at the Bachelor Gulch (Beaver Creek) ski area in Colorado, I sat in the sun and painted this view. I had used this ski trail for several days, coming in between the two little cabins at the end of the day. This area is at a lower elevation than Breckenridge which explains the mix of Aspen trees with the pines. It was one of those flawless days with robin's egg blue skies you can get in the Rocky Mountains.
