EXTENDED through Summer 2022!
A selection of my oil paintings and watercolors depicting Southern Vermont farms, private properties and Mount Snow resort are on view in three areas of Two Tannery Road, a historic fine dining restaurant in West Dover, Vermont.
These were painted on-site, or “en plein air” as the French Impressionists of the 19th century described their new approach to painting from life in the great outdoors. With a portable easel and paints, comfortable shoes, and often plenty of bug repellent, I discovered iconic scenes of barns, sheds and the natural beauty of the Green Mountains of southern Vermont during 2020 and 2021.
Many thanks to the Adams Family who allowed me free access to their farm property and the Boyd Family who invited me to explore the hillside above their nursery and farm. And, hats off to those onto whose property I may have slightly trespassed in the name of art!
