I painted this one morning on the road that leads up to the village of Monte Castello, looking down into the valley below. The variety of plantings in the farms created an abstract pattern of yellow ocher, burnt sienna and a variety of warm greens, broken slightly by the thin line of a road crossing the landscape to another town.
